From Classroom to Lab: Kicking Off the 4th Cohort at University of Oulu

Our 4th cohort has officially begun their academic journey at the University of Oulu in Finland, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in their education.

Just like in mineral processing, the first stage can feel like crushing and grinding—some participants breeze through as they refresh previous knowledge, while others face a tougher challenge as they dive into brand-new concepts. Yet, much like ore passing smoothly through a screen, every student will eventually find their rhythm and move forward with confidence.

But this isn’t only about theory. At the Mining School facilities of the University of Oulu, students are getting hands-on experience from day one. They will learn the fundamentals of sampling, crushing, grinding, and flotation processes—skills that form the backbone of mineral processing. This blend of classroom learning and practical laboratory work ensures that our participants don’t just study the value chain—they live it. Each challenge they overcome will prepare them for the next step in becoming professionals ready to innovate in the mineral resources sector
